Neurodiversity Lunch and Learn Online Workshop

Building better corporate cultures starts with people—prioritising their well-being, needs, and contributions. When we recognise and embrace cognitive differences, we unlock new ways of thinking, processing information, and solving problems, leading to more innovative, productive, and positive workplaces.

While the conversation around neurodiversity has gained momentum in recent years, there is still much to learn about how our unique cognitive profiles shape our experiences—and how we can harness these differences to drive success – both in work and our day to day lives.

Our first session in our two-part neurodiversity series welcomes Daniel Aherne, Author and Founder of Adjust Services, for an engaging workshop designed to expand our understanding of neurodiversity. This session will explore:

  • A clear and practical understanding of the different neurodiversity types

  • Neurodiversity in the workplace and beyond

  • The small changes that can make a significant difference in our approach to neurodiversity

This Neurodiversity Lunch and Learn session is a great way to get the Neurodiversity conversation started in your workplace. This 1-hour bite-size awareness session gives an introductory understanding of neurodiversity and is beneficial for HR professionals, recruitment teams, learning and development teams, managers and all colleagues after a deeper understanding of neurodiversity.

About Daniel Aherne

Daniel, author of The Pocket Guide to Neurodiversity, founded Adjust in 2016 to raise awareness of Neurodiversity in the workplace.

Daniel has over 20 years’ experience of neurodiversity and working with employers as a trainer and speaker.

Daniel’s passion for Neurodiversity started in 2000 by volunteering with an Autistic boy on a playscheme. This led to him working at the National Autistic Society in the employment team, where he managed the Employment Training. In this role he noticed that whilst every autistic person was different, every workplace was very similar in terms of the barriers that autistic people faced. Leading him to focus primarily on workplaces and helping them become more inclusive.

Daniel is available to deliver his new “Fireside Chat” with a focus on his book ´A pocket guide to Neurodiversity ´and his inspiring ADHD journey. Visit Adjustservices.co.uk for more details.

Mentoring is a conversation with a purpose. This workshop is designed to outline the key principles of mentoring and, importantly, how to structure your sessions to meet your objectives.

Your mentee will want to draw on your extensive experience in the investment industry to help identify and achieve professional goals, develop soft skills and to advise on workplace challenges. We will discuss all this and more in this workshop.

This session is virtual and designed to support and complement mentoring programmes running both in-house and cross-company, as well as those through our partnership organisations.

During this workshop we will discuss:

  • Roles of a Mentor

  • Giving meetings a process

  • Preparation: Agenda; Action Points; Feedback.

  • Phases of the Mentoring relationship: Building rapport; Setting direction; Progression; Wrapping Up; Moving on.
