Meeting Varied People – Expanding outreach for market intelligence in the Markets Directorate of the Bank of England

City Hive are collaborating with the Bank of England as part of the Bank’s Meeting Varied People initiative.

Launched by Governor Andrew Bailey, this initiative reflects the Bank’s commitment to broadening its engagement across a wider range of voices and experiences within financial markets. As the Governor noted in his keynote address, “diversity of thought strengthens our understanding of markets and supports better policy decisions.” By meeting varied people, the Bank aims to ensure that its insights into the economy reflect the full spectrum of perspectives across the industry and society it serves. We will be hosting events to provide an opportunity for people within the investment management industry to connect directly with the Bank’s Market Intelligence teams from the Markets Directorate, to learn more about the Meeting Varied People programme, and to explore opportunities to become a regular market intelligence contact. Together, we aim to build a stronger, more inclusive dialogue between the Bank and the markets it serves.
