City Hive names RBC Bluebay AM CEO as senior adviser

City Hive has made a series of changes to its Action Challenge Transparency (ACT) framework, aiming to reinforce the ACT’s credibility, accountability and global reach.

Among the changes, RBC Bluebay Asset Management CEO Erich Gerth has been appointed senior adviser to City Hive and the ACT.

Meanwhile, Jake Moeller, associate director, responsible investment at Square Mile Titan, has been appointed vice chair of the ACT Stewardship Council. He will assist current chair Emma Wall, who is was recently promoted to chief investment strategist at Hargreaves Lansdown.

Meanwhile, Ben Seager-Scott, chief investment officer at Forviz Mazars, and Genevra Banszky von Ambroz, fund manager at Evelyn Partners, have been appointed chair and vice-chair of the ACT Governance Committee. They will provide independent, evidence-based insights on governance processes around the ACT framework and standard.

The ACT Global Leadership Council, which aims to grow the corporate governance standard globally, has also adopted targeted workstreams based on each members’ role and responsibility.

Institutional market

The think tank has also launched the ACT Stewardship Council for the institutional market. The move expands the group’s governance oversight into pensions, charities, endowments and insurers.

Similar to the ACT Stewardship council for the wholesale market, the members will have oversight of the ACT Framework and consider how adoption is expanded into institutional industry practice to drive progress and results over time.

Founding members include: Debbie Clarke, consultant and non-executive director; Jo Holden, head of manager research, Mercer Global; Paul Carne, EMEA delegated chief investment officer, AON; and Phil Edwards, head of manager selection and oversight, USS.
