Bhavini ‘Bev’ Shah is the Founder and Chief Executive of City Hive, a think tank and advocacy group dedicated to raising standards and improving culture across the investment management industry.

An outspoken media commentator, Bev champions greater transparency, accountability, and equality in investment management. As one of the architects of the ACT corporate culture standard for investment companies, she brings deep insight into how corporate behaviour shapes investment outcomes across the industry. Drawing on her career in fund manager research, she understands how investment firms operate and how culture influences behaviour and decision-making.

Before founding City Hive, Bev held roles at Aviva Investors, Aviva Life, and HSBC Investments, having begun her City career as an equity trader on the Bear Stearns graduate scheme.

Bev serves on the Titan Square Mile Sustainability Board and has been awarded the Freedom of the City of London. She has also been recognised for her contribution to the investment industry at the Women in Investment Awards.
