ACT PR & COMMS WORKSHOP: Using ACT as evidence

Date: 15th April. 3.00pm
Location: Rathbones, 30 Gresham Street, London EC2V 7QN

ACT - the corporate culture standard for the investment industry - reflects a willingness to be transparent about how decisions are made, how risks are managed, and how culture operates in practice. But translating that into press, marketing and client communications isn’t always straightforward - and getting the language wrong can unintentionally create reputational risk.

That’s why we’re bringing together PR, communications and marketing leads from ACT Signatory firms for a focused, practical workshop on how to use ACT as credible evidence - without overclaiming or losing nuance.

What we’ll cover:

• What ACT Signatory status actually evidences - and what it doesn’t
• How to use ACT’s qualitative narrative safely in press, marketing and client communications
• Where firms unintentionally overclaim (and how to avoid it)
• Practical examples of language that builds trust rather than risk

You’ll also hear directly from industry voices on the panel, including our co-CEO Bev Shah, a Signatory perspective, an investor view and insights from a trade journalist, discussing what changed in their messaging after engaging with ACT - and what surprised them most about seeing culture described in words rather than slogans.

Format: Presentation + live panel discussion
Audience: PR, communications and marketing leads at ACT Signatory firms
Duration: 60 minutes + networking following

If ACT is already part of your firm’s story (or you expect it to be soon), you’ll want to be in the room for this.
