Panel 2: Who do investment firms really serve?

Three CEOs representing different ownership structures discuss what culture and values means to their firms

Despite representing three very different ownership structures - listed, privately owned and partnership - these CEO panellists kept returning to the same conclusion at our recent Investors ACT Conference: culture is not a "nice to have", it is the mechanism through which client outcomes are delivered.

The panel, moderated by Paul Carne, explored how:

  • Good client outcomes start with engaged employees.

  • Values should be non-negotiable, even when culture evolves.

  • Incentives reveal what firms truly reward.

  • Performance without the right behaviours is not enough.

Matthew Beesley, CEO, Jupiter Asset Management: "Culture is the ultimate enabler in a business."
