Panel 1: Looking behind the curtain of the Stewardship Council

The full recording from the Investors ACT event on 29 April 2026.

The ACT Stewardship Council plays a central role in shaping the organisation’s priorities, standards and long-term direction. In this panel, moderated by Erich Gerth, CEO at RBC BlueBay Asset Management, Council members - Mona Christensen, head of product and proposition at Ascot Lloyd, and Ben Seager-Scott, CIO at Forvis Mazars, shared how the ACT Stewardship Council members use the ACT Framework as a baseline to understand company culture, and how it helps drive better decision-making through robust challenge and accountability, while ensuring commitments are met and processes are transparent.

Other key themes include M&A, cultural shifts, and understanding good and bad stewardship.

"We know culture drives decision making, and we are expected to understand how decisions are being made in the firms we invest in. Therefore, culture is already part of our fiduciary duties."
